- The 2022 Pinot Noir Le Nouveau Monde is complex and powerful. Matured in around 75% new oak, it has slowly unfolding aromas of pomegranate, cranberry and blueberry and nuances of aniseed, mushrooms, lavender and earth. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with expansive, spicy flavors, and its ripe fruit is tempered by woodsy, earthy layers. It’s structured by velvety tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, layered finish.

- The 2022 Le Nouveau Monde Pinot Noir from Purple Hands was aged for 10 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Displaying a glistening red ruby core with a light purple rim, it offers up bountiful aromas and flavors of black cherry pie, sweet baking spice, new leather, freshly turned earth, vanilla bean, and shades of toasted nuts. The palate is concentrated but not heavy, although the tannins need a year in bottle to soften up a bit. I loved the floral note I got on the finish.

- Notes of kirsch and dried wild strawberries with hints of spices and sandalwood. Medium-bodied, spicy and savory, with dried herbs and bitter orange undertones to its juicy and vivid red fruit. Structured and lingering, with some earthy character at the end. Flavorful and crunchy. Drink or hold.

- A bright, fruited, and spicy barrel selection, the best from the vintage, from throughout the Willamette Valley vineyards that Purple Hands sources from. Plenty of red raspberry, smoky cinnamon and subtle lavender florals. The palate expresses a new oak influence; red fruits marked by pomegranate pulp and bing cherry mingle with white peppercorn and a lift of wild scrub.
